Another feature of Remote that I like is the ability to choose from multiple libraries which enables me to stream from my kids' libraries for those occasions when I need to hear Hips Don't Lie. I had purchased it a week ago but just got around to installing it since I had to backup the music files. I do not see this feature on the Remote app.

I only wish the iPhone was reliable for wireless calls I would own one since it does everything and more that the iTouch does. My problem was a software firewall that had asked me whether to allow access or not and I had not said yes yet.

Since it worked via a browser interface there was the added burden of the browser navigation. Signal requires absolutely no configuration to operate.

Software Review

Signal is pretty new and, at version 1. Signal was available for over a year before Apple's remote control, so I decided to get it since my system is computer based Mac G5 and in a different room.

A behavior of the browser interface that aoloysoft be improved is when, for example, you tap an album name and decide you want to play everything in that album. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

However, Signal needs to update that IP address in its registry but only does this at boot time so if signql PC received the IP without rebooting then you will need to reboot so that Signal updates it. Signal allows you though a bit clumsily to create a new Playlist from the iTouch. And if there is one event that occurred since I have last used it that would be registering it and getting the license. Remote shows you the play time of each song, just like any iPod player, but Signal does not.

Alloysoft's Signal stopped working - Apple Community

Oct 7, I loaded the free Apple application app named Remote onto my iPod Touch last night and thought I'd give a bit of feedback since I was using AlloySoft's app named Signal.

So this is causing a problem too. I would like to be able to select Podcasts inside of the Videos menu, and then have a listing of all podcast subscriptions, and then access only the episodes of that podcast.

Reviewing in ATPM is open to anyone. Neither of the remote control apps provide the Cover Flow feature allows browsing of the CD cover art. Occasionally it did loose track of the iTunes session when the iPod went to sleep. While I won't review the Gen2 iTouch, the new features all make sense. I have uninstalled the application and then reinstalled and reentered the license code.
