I forget how exactly, but you have to make the other drive a spare of the array, then it will 2010 be allocated into the array and rebuild. If you loose another drive while the array is being compressed the array fails instantly as it is not possible to finish compression. There is any hardware defect or issue with the motherboard design.

So I formatted the second drive, took it out and plugged it back in.

I installed the Adaptec storage manager and when I open it I aaptec all my drives but no logical drives. And if yes, is there some error message?
